MISSISSIPPI BIRTH OF THE BLUES CREATORS

A celebration of Mississippi Blues artists, the countless creators, including the likes of Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and considered father, Robert Johnson, who served the world in what is called the blues, attracting long-haired white boys, calling themselves the Beatles back in the sixties. In fact, they tried to get signed by Chicago Chess records, known for carrying some of the best Mississippian black blues creators, who were really indigenous to America. It explains the sound, the rhythm, a reflection of how their beautiful homeland had changed with the arrival of Europeans with their greed and inhumanity; what would a reasonable thinking human expect to evolve from slavery, post-slavery, sharecropping, tenant farming, debt bondage, and apprenticeship. These systems were characterized by low wages and a lack of economic independence.
